    Shunt with an AeroElectric system

    I am doing a HDX retro fit on my RV8. It was built back in 2000, and used the Aero Electric over voltage/crow bar system. Should I still use the Dynon Shunt? I have checked with Aero E. but no response. If I did remove the overvoltage system, should I still use the Crow Bar? Thanks for the help.
