    EDC-D10A Magnetic Field Intensity

Thank you. I had only checked the manual I had downloaded. Calibration went just fine! :-) Jim

    EDC-D10A Magnetic Field Intensity

The installation manual mentions setting the magnetic intensity for the location at which the EDC-D10A remote magnetometer will be calibrated. The NOAA website provides "Horizontal Intensity" and "Total Field" values, but not "Magnetic Intensity." Which value should be inserted into the D10A...

    OAT and D10A compass connection

Looks like the builder, from whom I bought the plane, cut and abandoned under the floor, the wires which appeared to be the ones which were hooked to the old magnetometer. I ran new wires and VOILA! It WORKS! ;D

    OAT and D10A compass connection

Just my two cents: The manual says that the EFIS-D10A has no internal magnetic sensors.  The manual also says that, to check if the EDC-D10A remote magnetometer is properly communicating with the EFIS-D10A, hold a headset in front of the EFIS-D10A.  If the heading changes significantly, the...
