Just an update.  I got a decent quality converter from Staples ($40) and did the update.  Used one of my old laptops with XP on it, just to be safe and it went well!  Nail biting for sure but pretty painless!  I was never a fan of serial connections though... Would Dynon have answered the phone...

Is there a life estimate on these batteries? How many charges or years it should last on average? Thanks

Hello, I have a D100 that I got used from somebody upgrading to a Skyview. It's installed and working great. I'd like to update the firmware but did not get a USB to Serial converter. :'( Seems on the specs that the Dynon comes with one. Do I need the Dynon version or will any converter...
