Skyview HDX ADS-B Traffic disappears then reappears

The new ADSB 472 firmware upgrade is very good news. The previous version 2.4.20 is a 2017 release of the Uavionics firmware. This new version (2.4.58) is a current release and should have the fix for the dropped targets. Finally!!!:)

Skyview HDX ADS-B Traffic disappears then reappears

This is a known problem with an open ticket with Dynon. This issue was introduced with introduction of the SV-ADSB-472 ADSB module back in 2017. uAvioix produced the 472 for Dynon. uAvionix also had the same issue with their product, correcting it after about a year of user complaints...

traffic does not show on display

I fly with-in the ATL vail, it is extremely busy. During summer time it is also very hazy due to the smog here. Where I fly there is no question that Good reliable ADSB traffic significantly reduces workload and enhances safety. Having a system that gives bad information is more dangerous than...

traffic does not show on display

This is a known problem with an open ticket with Dynon. This issue was introduced with introduction of the 472 ADSB module. The 472 device is made by Uavionix and the issue is in the Uavionix's software. Dynon has not given any date on a fix to this critical issue that has been in-effect for...

Traffic display from Uavionics Ping receiver

I agree that really would be nice especially since the Dynon device is not reliable in heavy traffic areas like ATL

Trouble with Seattle Avionics DataManager.... again....

Yeah, I'm in the group that has never had a problem with SA. I've been running it for 6 years from a Dell Windows10 desktop.

traffic does not show on display

Great. I'll send Dynon Support some screen prints of the disappearing targets along with the Dynon diagnostic files this coming week.

traffic does not show on display

I have also been experiencing traffic that is close by disappearing then later reappearing. This has been the norm ever since I've upgraded from the 470 to the 472 several years back. I fly in the Atlanta area and have noticed that I only lose targets when I'm near a busy/large airport. It...

Attached is my diagnostic file David DeLong requested of my flight using the FlightAware Filter. The filter was installed starting at 14:30 EST.

1090MHz Filter for ADSB 472 Issues?

I also ordered the filter, installed it today and did some flying.  In a nut shell it was not as good as the direct connection, I had more drop outs with the Dynon 472 and the filter and they lasted much longer.  I did the testing at 3500' MSL north of ATL.  I used a Garmin GLD39 and Garmin...

Getting NO HI-RES TERRAIN message while in flight

Dynon, I've replaced my ARINC with the new one you sent me, thank you for getting the replacement to me. But it did not resolve the issue. Within the first 15 minutes of startup I got the warning and then again about 30 minutes later. I've attached the data log that contains the first event...

Getting NO HI-RES TERRAIN message while in flight

Dynon, It's been a few years and I still have this issue with increased frequency. I was hoping that your software updates would have fixed this but they have not. I fly a lot of IFR and though it recovers quickly it's very disconcerting when flying an approach, each time it happens it...

Why 'No Radar' for ADSB status

Thank you for the very quick response. So that's what I though. But radar coverage in the area I was flying shows from the FAA web site good down to 500 feet and when I call Atlanta approach they see me. So I assume SV is not making this determination of No Radar but getting this status from...

Why 'No Radar' for ADSB status

Question: What are the circumstances that generate the ADSB status “No Radar” when several ground stations are in range and the SV-470 is receiving from these stations? This happens in the Atlanta area when flying at 1000’ AGL or less. I could not find anything in the ADS-B specification...

    FAA ADSB Report Questions

Dan, Thank you for the very helpful reply. There are items I turn on during the flight i.e fuel pump for short periods of time that maybe causing this issue, so this give me a good starting point for tracking this down. Another question, I was told that the GTN650 requires a minimum of 8...

    FAA ADSB Report Questions

Dynon, Thank you for the quick reply. I'll update the tail number in the SV. The GPS antenna is on top in front of the wind screen, all the other antennas including both coms are on the bottom of the fuse. I am running 14.2.1 and I did update the transponder software. On my next flight I'll...
