CDI display during RNAV -> LOC/ILS transition

I believe I understand what you are asking for: The ability for the SkyView system to monitor and automatically switch between independent (key word: independent) navigation sources when transitioning from RNAV-based navigation to localizer navigation when joining the final segment of an ILS/LOC...

Request to Restore EMS Lean Mode Function for Rotax Engines

Jean-Paul - we are looking at this and will probably restore this functionality in a future version of software. No promises at this moment, but know that you have been heard. Thanks for the feedback.

File with Fuel Level Calibration Numbers?

It's in the .dfg file. Try searching for "LEVEL" or "user_cal". You are looking for something like this:

    HSI ILS Question

There are several ways to get the IFD to tune to an ILS frequency. The most common two ways are: Manually tune in a discrete frequency to the NAV receiver using the MHz and kHz knob. Load an ILS approach using the procedures menu for an airport. Only method #2 will allow the IFD to send course...

    16.6.0 AoA Calibration Issue

andresmith76, Could not find the multiple reports that you are referencing. Can you provide a link? Just tested it on my unit and it's working normally. Are you sure you are in the in-flight setup menu and not the normal setup menu?

    Refine Electric Trim

Sounds like your Ray Allen trim motor is not connected to your SkyView system. If you want the adjustment feature you seek you'll need to install the SV-AP-PANEL and re-wire accordingly.

    Remote magnetometer drift

Based on your writing I suspect the skin of the aircraft is probably carrying some stray return currents that are interfering with your compass. Consider installing a compass app on your smartphone to help evaluate local interference when evaluating mounting locations. Suggest mounting the...

Request for DMMS speed indication or audible warning.

I find the aural AOA beeps to be superior to just about any visual indication. Suggest your enable and try them if you have not already. Your milage may vary.

    Auto Pilot Trim Wiring

The SV-AP-PANEL serves as the relay and handles all high-current switching. When wired per the SkyView install manual the current passing through the trim switches on your stick will be negligible. For wiring information consult the SkyView install manual, page 18-7 (revision AM).

    ADAHRS location

I would not recommend putting the ADAHRS in the tail for reasons identified above and because that is quite a distance from the CG. I think the shelf that others have proposed would be my choice and recommendation.

    ADSB 472

Alexe, We refer to this phenomenon as 'ghosting'. The most frequent cause of ghosting is marginal radar or ADS-B ground station coverage. It unlikely that it is related to the traffic coasting feature.

    ADSB 472

Yes, all 472's use identical mechanical features and wiring.

ADSB 472 showing solid green light

The 472 LED is green most of the time, but will briefly flash orange when data is sent from SkyView to the 472. During normal operation, the LED will briefly turn orange at a rate of 1 time per second (1 Hz).

    ADSB

Having a ground plane/counterpoise is quite important. Most types of ADS-B antennas are designed to be installed with a conductive surface under them. For fabric, fiberglass, or other aircraft with non-conductive skins installing a conductive ground plane below the antenna usually works well...

    ADSB

It is normal for the SV-ADSB-472 to generate a handful of sentence errors when the GPS has not provided SkyView with valid position information. It is normal behavior for users to observe some sentence errors on the SV-ADSB-472 serial port config page on startup when the GPS has not finished...

    ADSB

Hi dwightsmall, What you are describing sounds like a symptom of poor ADS-B reception. This is normal at low altitudes, or when outside of good ADS-B coverage areas. Other users of the ADS-B system have reported poor coverage in areas between Phoenix and Tuscon. Please provide me with a little...
