    Seneca Autopilot

I don't know much about these things, but is there any autopilot that'll capture the glideslope from above? Are there any approaches where this is even acceptable? Seems you'd always have to fly into it to capture it if ILS, since there shouldn't even be a signal present when above it, and if...

Skyview HDX interface to STEC (Genesys) 55X??

I disagree Tim. Dynon isn't anything like Garmin. There is a very long list of equipment that the HDX will interface to, including, as you mentioned, the Trutrak autopilot. I would much rather have a Dynon autopilot, but my Trutrak does fly off the HDX altitude, VSI, and Heading bugs, and it...

Two Radios into top line of HDX

This works perfectly. You can be looking at INFO for an airport and flip the switch to whichever radio you want to send the frequency to. It flips to that radio instantly. My configuration:

Two Radios into top line of HDX

I currently have a Garmin GTR 225 connected to my HDX and it works fine using the GTR 225 protocol. I also have an Avidyne IFD540 in the panel and would like to connect either to the HDX selectively, using a switch: Both radios must use the same protocol for this to work, and both will work...

I can't find anything in any manuals. Can you tell me what these symbols are? Thanks

    Airmate Data transfer issues

I got their email today about the new Airmate Data Manager so I thought I would try it. It was extremely slow and appeared to stall, and even after 11 hours, the progress bar barely moved. I tried downloading the data with a web browser instead, and it was successful and not too slow (11gb...

Altitude with Aerocruze 100 / TruTrak when driven by the HDX

It is neither. I've tried both, and when you select either Aspen or Garmin, it will not go into "Skyview" mode.

    autopilot STC

Not sure I understand your question. The V35B was approved years ago. Info at https://www.dynoncertified.com/bonanza-35-autopilot.php

Altitude with Aerocruze 100 / TruTrak when driven by the HDX

Also, realize that unlike the Aerocruze Track Select and Altitude Target Select, when you use the Heading Bug or Altitude Bug on the HDX, the Aerocruze will blow right through the desired heading or altitude, and wallow back and forth till it finally dampens down. It appears there is no...

Altitude with Aerocruze 100 / TruTrak when driven by the HDX

One thing I've noticed is that it may not go into altitude hold until the proper altitude is reached. And of course it has been, but the Aerocruze doesn't realize that. Move the HDX VSI bug 100' either up or down and back to 0, and the Aerocruze will pop into Altitude Hold.

    Why Certified?

It's a legitimate question Hawk, but unfortunately, in my opinion, the only true answer is a cynical one. When it comes down to it, if drivers and their land vehicles had been licensed and regulated by the federal government instead of states, and the controlling bureaucracy eventually ran amok...

    BONANZA V35B ELECTRICAL TRIM SYSTEM

True, but just because it seems unorthodox doesn't mean it shouldn't be presented.

    BONANZA V35B ELECTRICAL TRIM SYSTEM

Three years ago I helped my friend install the Dynon system in his 76 V35, and he had a Century IV autopilot in it. We removed the entire Century IV autopilot except for the trim motor. We wired the trim motor (using relays) to run off the yoke's trim switch, enabling him to continue to use...

    Fargo

Press release this morning says Dynon is opening a location in Fargo, with postings for software engineers. If Fargo will advance autopilot certification, it is indeed great news, and I congratulate them and wish them well!

    Mooney Autopilot

So the FAA tells Dynon they can only have two projects in the works at any one time? And the FAA tells Dynon where they can operate? It may take a full year or more to get the FAA to approve a project, but Dynon decides if they want one active project or five. And if there are no more...

Baron 58/58A Now FAA Approved. Also Autopilot Auto-Trim Now Available for Most AP-Equipped Aircraft

Auto trim for all approved models is great news and unexpected. Congratulations Dynon.

    Mooney Autopilot

I have to say, you Mooney owners... The rest of us would give a left *** to be on the development list, or even if we heard a rumor that we might be getting on the development list. Be happy you are, and just wait for the Dynon autopilot. To me, no other autopilot comes close to features and...
