    Back seat EFIS?

I searched the archives to see if this has been addressed and came up dry.  Since I have a tandem-seat plane (RV-8), my instrument panel is pretty much obscured from the back seat.  The flight info on my D-100 and D-120 are useless from back there, so getting a biennial flight review would...

    Leaning

I have used the %LOP/PK/ROP function on my D-120 regularly, in conjunction with monitoring the EGTs. However, in re-reading the manual, I just noticed that that function is based on 8.5:1 compression engines only. I have 9.2:1 pistons in my IO-360. What is the effect of this compression on...

The Yellow Screen of Death ...

"Houston, we have a problem ..." Once I downloaded the required software so that my new laptop (with Windows 7) would recognize my serial-USB converter cable, I decided to save the parameters that I've so painstakingly setup during my Phase I test period. I ran the Dynon program, plugged in...

Installed 5.1.1 ... and now my DSAB doesn't work!

I installed 5.1.1 last week and today noticed that my EFIS can't communicate with my EMS and vice versa. Should I re-install 5.1.1, or is there another solution? Each unit seems to be working fine, but they just don't recognize each other now.

    WOW!

As I near the end (hopefully!) of my 12+ year-long building process, I thought it would be a good idea to check in here and see what questions/concerns/tips other builders have had. WOW is all that comes to mind. When I started building N8RV, my choices of engines were two: new or rebuilt...

    Fuel Flow Sensor

I'm sure someone else will someday do this, so I'll post it for all to see. ::) Because I received the various sensors before the EMS was available, I installed the probes and the fuel flow sensor some time ago. One tiny instruction I apparently overlooked was to KEEP the paper tag that was...
