using the d100/120 hardware in a sim using DSAB

i know the subject of a dynon simulator has come up in the past....some by me...and the consensus was that it either wasn't needed, or the that dynon resources could be better spent developing real products. i definitely don't agree with the former, but would an alternative be to use the...

    Lost CDI after 5.1.1 upgrade

thats right.....you can also highlight com1 or com2 and hit the MENU button to access NMEA advanced settings. i doubt i would have ever found that without help.

    Lost CDI after 5.1.1 upgrade

Im sorry, there IS an advanced NMEA setup on the 296. its a little tricky to get into. with out the 296 manual i probably would have not stumbled into it. it was on fast. i've changed it to normal, and trust that will get things really back to normal.

    Lost CDI after 5.1.1 upgrade

i know this is an old thred, but im having the same problems with my garmin 296. after ugrading to 5.2 from 4.0 the course indicator is locked on 360 and the cdi is gone. i have the latest 296 software 5.8, and there is no advanced NMEA setup on the 296. aviation in/nmea and vhf out is the...

D100 side slip inclinometer calibration (zero)

im getting leveling info for the aircraft as we speak. the aircraft is czech built so response time is not as quick as you guys. the ball is centered with a level unit. that isnt the issue. the issue is if a known installation error is introduced the ball will be forever off. if that cant be...

D100 side slip inclinometer calibration (zero)

if i understand the D100 system correctly, pitch and roll originate from the ahrs that is mounted in the display. it also incorporates the accelerometer for the side-slip indicator. it would be nice for my installation to have a side-slip zero calibration similiar to the SPDCAL. the instrument...

Next Gen is now Dynon Skyview!

i've been watching the progress of the sky view and love it so far. we are an new S-LSA OEM in the states that hasnt decided on a EFIS solution. is their and alpha or beta program we could get invloved with? sorry if this isnt the proper channel for this type of inquiry. you guys were way too...

inclinometer off on the ground (static)

can u quantify 'slightly'? 0.1 degrees? 1 degree? i'll measure it next week with a digital protractor to give a more descriptive error, but ive got it well under half a degree (probably closer), and the ball is intersected by the left line almost in half. thanks

    internal voltmeter accuracy?

we are noticing about .8 to 1.0 vdc difference (lower indications)between the voltmeter on the EMS D120 and our calibrated shop voltmeters. any ideas? thanks john

inclinometer off on the ground (static)

its not impossible, but the panel was designed and cut on a cnc device. im guessing there is an internal accelerometer that is causing me a problem. to cause such an error would require a fairly noticable installation angle. im definetly going to follow up on any good advice. thanks

inclinometer off on the ground (static)

im sure there is a thread on this already, but i've failed to locate one. we've got an S-LSA with the D100 already installed. The slip/skid indicator (inclinometer), always shows a slightly left ball indication in a static condition. we use that indication as 'neutral' and have been flying that...

    building a SLSA simulator

hmmm, i like the way this is going......any units at the factory that i could purchase with a disclaimer that the unit would only be used for the sim? the unit wouldn't need functional sensors since it is using a serial input....am i correct? anyways keep me in mind if a unit that would meet my...

    building a SLSA simulator

i know dynon has bigger fish to fry, but here goes....im building a simulator for our flight school, which currently has mystique's and allegros, and both use the D100/D120. i noticed that some time ago a company had a plug-in for fs2004, but they have gone away....the Chelton flightlogic system...
