0 knots at boot up, 35 knots at idle?

Just test flew a Glasair 1RG with a Dynon classic. After boot up the airspeed shows 0 knots. As soon as I started the engine at 700 RPM idle the airspeed was indicating 35 knots, zero on the ground speed indicator. Flew the airplane and the speed was definitely way off. The static ports are mounted in the correct location on the side of the fuselage. Pitot is out under the wing out of the prop blast. I have over 600 hours in my G1RG so after a few approach to stall tests I landed uneventfully. Any ideas? Thank you!

On the ground, Try isolating the source of the problem by taping over the static ports and see if the problem stops when engine is running. A vacuum on the static will indicate airspeed. Maybe you have a serious static leak that is putting a low pressure in the cabin when prop blast is blowing over fuselage.

Try the zero airpeed calibration.
