Hi

Any suggestions regarding suitable 2 wire sensors for oil and water temp with Skyview ? The manual suggests the GRT FT-LC-01 but these would need to be imported to the UK. I have tee pieces in hoses so don't have a return path for the sensor and don't fancy having to design a system for attaching one - there is discussion of this on other forums but nothing ideal that doesn't involve solder, clamps or machining. Surely with the preference for avoiding ground loops and possible bad earth connections when using thread sealant the 2 wire option is the way to go !

Unfortunately, that's the only two wire sensor that currently supports the temperature ranges that you're after. There are some other temp sensors, like our OAT and carb air temp sensor that are two wire, but they're not well-suited for the higher temps you'll see in water oil temp.

Actually, a J type thermocouple could work (we use them for CHTs, and you'd have to find one that has the fitment you're looking for).
