24 volt system voltage regulators

We are using a 24 volt system with a regulator that allows a charging range of 28.5 - 28.9 Volts. The Skyview reports the charging voltage as 29.1 at times. How accurate is that reading?
More importantly, the regulator has an over voltage protection circuit that is set to 32 volts which is higher than rated for the Skyview. How do I provide adequate protection against over voltage with the accuracy needed?

We'd probably specify the voltage measurement on SkyView as being within +/- 2%, which at 29V is .6V, so 28.9V could read 28.3-29.5. It isn't meant to be a super accurate voltmeter. It should however be stable for a given unit, but accuracy between units will have some variance.

SkyView is designed and tested to the 30V aircraft requirements in DO-160. This requires operation at 30V, and no-damage tolerance up to 60V. SkyView will operate up to approximately 33V and will shut down above that (or switch to backup battery if you have one). It will not be damaged by exposure to voltage under 60V, although it will not operate between 33V and 60V.
