28 Volts for Autopilot / Heated Pitot?

Although the Dynon EFIS and EMS products seem to be set up to run on 12V or 28V, it appears that the heated pitot is 12V only and I have been unable to determine what the situation is with the AP servos.

If I want to incorporate the heated pitot and AP, am I pretty much locked into a 12V system, or is there a workaround (or forthcoming product changes) to allow their use in a 28V system?

Thanks.

The servos are 28V compatible.

The heated pitot is 12V, and there are no changes planned. It was not feasible to make this device a 10-30V device like our others since heating elements are tuned to one voltage. We don't have plans to make a 28V pitot since demand is very low.

I do believe there are 28V-12V converters that are out there. Maybe a RV (motorhome) store?

Some alternators have provision to tap the alternating current before the diodes. If you do this, you can hook up a small transformer with 2:1 windings to step down 28v to 14v, then put in diodes to get DC power. Then just put it through a circuit breaker like everything else...
