I received a failed validation error message when attempting up update.  What could the problem be? The file was down loaded to my PC and transfered to the memory stick, root directory.

That means that for some reason, when it read the file it had an error in it. This could be from the download, or from the copy to the USB stick.

Best bet is to download it again. If you're a drive to the airport, you might want to try a second USB stick.

On my second screen it took two tries, the first on failed validation then worked the second time.

Thank you.  Second down load worked.

I am working several other problems I could use some advice on.

The transponder is not registering on the screen and is not in the list of devices attached to the network.  Checking the serial ports I am getting TX counts, essentially no (only 2 after 15 minutes) RX counts and a count of group errors - 346 and increasing.  I am getting power to the unit.

Likewise, the Dynon GPS is not on the list of devices attached to the network.  Several weeks ago when I first set the system on in the panel the GPS was working.  Along with this the Map page is not displaying a map.  When driven by an alternate GPS.

Also, the pitch servo (roll servo is not install) is no showing on thelist of  devices attached to the network.

First off, serial devices aren't SkyView Network devices, so you won't see them there. All their setup  troubleshooting is done on the serial port setup.

The lack of RX counts indicates that the RX line isn't hooked up. Is the transponder getting independent ship's power? I'd start by looking at the complete wiring of the transponder.

Same thing here. Under the serial port setup, do you have the right serial port set to the SV-GPS-250? Any RX counts / good sentences? Is the GPS puck getting power?

For both of those devices, do you have all the serial wires (and the power/ground for the GPS puck) paralleled off to both displays' serial ports if you have more than one display? And do you have the serial ports configured on each display individually?

You might give our tech support a call at 425-402-0433 when you're at the airplane for more personal help here.
