3.2 version to 4.0

I purchased the Skyview system this Spring and I downloaded the 4.0 version to the thumb Drive. I followed the procedure to update my Skyview. I thought it was done.

I am close to flying for the first time, in order to be ready, I have noticed that when I first activate the SV the version I have says 3.2 not 4.0. Hmmm. Something wrong.

I noticed today on your web site that the 4.0 will not load if it has version 3.2. This is a bummer, but the site does not say what to do if it one has 3.2 version. At least it did not say how to proceed on that page.
My question is to ask what is the method to update to 4.0 as I have 3.2?

There's no issue updating 3.2 to 4.0, you just can't use the one step process. Go to this page, and scroll half way down to "Option 2" and it has detailed instructions on what you need to download to get all up to date:

Thanks for the information, Dynon, I would have thought would have been loaded with the latest version when they left the factory.After all the money I spent, 15000.00 I find that they are one version behind. That one slipped away, your company is better than that.

Given how easy it is for a customer to update our software, we don't always (but we often do) go through our inventory and update every unit we have, and we definitely don't recall units from dealers in order to update them. We are a company that maintains inventory and so do our dealers, which allows us to not have lead times on our products, but does mean the software can sometimes be a version behind. This is pretty standard in the industry. If you boot up a modern PC, tablet, or cell phone out of the box, it almost always has updates ready for it.

Plus, as you are finding out, may people don't even power them up until we are multiple versions ahead, so that further limits the effectiveness of allocating resources into updating inventory when they will often still be out of date when they get used the first time.

We DO always have the latest versions of our manuals and documentation on our website - we've found that most people these days keep their manuals on their tablet or notebook in PDF format rather than printing each new version.

I guess you are right not sending them with the latest version, I stand corrected.
