Dear Dynon,  5 questions if I may:

1> Just watched Kirk Kleinholz's 6 movies on how to operate the Skyview.  #1, Can I display the HSI needle if you're just hand flying?  Or must the autopilot be engaged?  ( See 28:00 minutes in video #6)

2> Is there a yellow (or is it green) needle for radio (Not GPS derived)VOR/LOC/ILS's?  I assume there is, but Kirk didn't mention it

3> What do I need to get weather and traffic on the skyview?  I currently have a GDL 39.  Will that work? Will it work on my D180 also?

4>  I'm at home and the skyview is obviously a permanent part of the airplane.  Is there 1: a simulator mode?
2: Can one make a flight plan at home on a Nexus tablet and then fast load it to the skyview---so you don't have to spend an hour in your cockpit, if say you wanted to go from Atlanta to Seattle?

5>  I currently have a Dynon 180.  Its suddenly always showing ROP even after I go to the "lean" page and each EGT shows I've hit peak and am now LOP.  What happened?

OK, A couple more questions on Skyview

1> If I'm IFR, I assume I can display IFR maps and approach plates??

2> If I can do #1, what am I using for an artificial horizon and and other "instrument flight" instruments while I'm studying say an approach plate into Seattle?

Don:

Your operational questions are a bit more involved than what we can reasonably handle here on the forum (at least for the substitute forum tender). Please call Kirk at Dynon Avionics 425-402-0433, ask for him. Kirk appears to be traveling this week, but leave a VM on his extension and he will call you back when he is back in the office.

To display TIS traffic, you need our SV-XPNDR-261 and need to be in a TIS traffic service area. To display ADS-B traffic, you need to have our SV-XPNDR-261 and our SV-ADSB-470. To display ADS-B weather, you only need the SV-ADSB-470.

The FlightDEK-D180 has no provisions for displaying traffic or weather.

You can display IFR maps and approach plates if you purchase the optional chart data from Seattle Avionics.

(For regular customers) There is no simulator mode in the SkyView system, nor is there an emulator that you can operate on a PC. I've been told that the simulations you get from "X Plane" (hope I have that right) or Flight Simulator are very realistic regarding display of EFIS information.
