9 pin "D" to 15 pin "D" connector?

I have an older EFIS D10 that I have installed in a homebuilt, and am now attempting to configure it. I wired a 9 pin D connector into the EFIS wiring to download checklists, etc. I have access to two laptops, and both have only a 15 pin D connecter. Can I buy a conversion cable? If I make one, which pins on the 15 pin connecter do I run to the three pins used on the 9 pin connector? I suspect I am not the first to ask this question, but did not see it listed. I would appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

Thanks,
Jerry

The 15 pin connector is for a VGA monitor.

You need a USB-serial cable. We include them with some of our products because this is so common these days, but didn't include them back when you bought a D10.

You can buy the cable from us for $20, or just pick one up at walmart, radio shack, target, or any of a huge variety of places.

Thank you very much for the rapid response, and great support. I have had two questions recently, and both were resolved in a few hours.
