We had the airspeed and the altimeter on our D6 tested along with the analog altimeter (United Instruments) and the analog airspeed indicator during our recent pitot-static test. For both instruments the D6 was far and away much more accurate than the analog gauges. The analog altimeter was off by around -40 feet in the range of 8000 to 18000 feet and the Dynon altimeter was with 10 feet over just about the whole range between -1000 and 20000 feet. The D6 airspeed indicator was within +/- 2 knots over the range from 50 to 225 knots and the analog was off by 7 knots at the low end (where you want accuracy for landing!) and then got accurate between about 150 to 225 knots. I guess we will rely on the D6 as the primary instruments from now on.
