Additional Inputs D180

I am currently installing my D180 on my CH701 with a Rotax 912ULS. I have extended range tanks as well. My issue is I do not seem to have enough inputs to cover what i want. I still require my outboard tanks, water temp, elev trim, and flaps. GP 2&3 are used on the CHT and GP1 is for my OAT. Fuel 1 & 2 (resistive or capacitive) are on the inboard tanks. I am running the flo scan, fuel pressure sensor and tying in my AvMap as well. What can I do to get additional inputs.

The only way to add more GP inputs is by installing the HS34 HSI expansion module ($650). It has 6 more of them.

You could also move your CHT's to thermocouples instead of the resistive probes that come on your Rotax engine. This will free up two GP inputs.

Hi Dynon Spport and merry Christmas to you all!

I have the need for several analgue inputs, trims flap etc plus the OAT which uses one of the GP inputs also (2 wire).

I see here that the comments above say you can use the additional AI on the HS34, however when I read the latest D100/D180 manual it shows pins 10-12 on the HS34 as being "not currently supported".

So I assume that they are now according to your comments and the manuals need updating, can you confirm this?

Also it states they are a 15v input where as the others are 0-5v. I assume we can use the same 5v supply and use 0-5v and scale it during calibration. Some guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'll keep searching on here in the interim.

Cheers

David  :)

PS you also say the HS34 has "6 more of them", as I read the manual the first 3 are duplicating the inputs from the D120/D180. Is this the case, or are they actually 6 more, or 9 in total? Not that I can think of that many more AI's that you would need :p

Pins 7, 8, and 13 are supported. They are standard 5V GP inputs just like the ones on the EMS. So you get 6 total if you have an HS34, 3 on the EMS/D180 and 3 on the HS34.

The 15V inputs are pins 10,11,12, and are not yet supported.
