ADS-B momentary NOT RECEIVING status

I am enjoying my newly installed Dynon ADS-B unit. I only have an hour or so flight time with it so I am still exploring. I was flying a couple of days ago and everything was working fine with the ADS-B Status: RECEIVING and the Traffic: ADS-B FULL.

Then suddenly, I saw ADS-B Status: NOT FOUND and the Traffic with a big red X and FAIL.

A few seconds later the ADS-B Status was RECEIVING and the Traffic was PARTIAL, and then back to FULL in a few more seconds.

Any suggestions for why this might have happened?

Thanks and regards,

Mike

I can't say we've seen that before. But, as it transitions between modes, and loses ADS-B, it should drop down to TIS from the transponder (which you must have because you can see ADS-B Full).

The ADS-B NOT FOUND status should only be seen when the ADS-B box fails for some reason.

So there might be a hardware problem there. Or the mode switching might have a glitch under some circumstance. Hard to say.

If it happens again, downloading a datalog from the setup menu to the USB stick within an hour of the event would help us see what's going on. The datalog is big, and takes minutes to create, so you want to pull it on the ground, not in flight. Once you have that, we have a way for you to get it to us via our site.
