I just finished installing the ADS-B and the Skyview display states partial under the ADS-b. under the system setup serial port it states no signal but are receiving a few bits. The ADS-B box is blinking rapidly.. I believe tha t all is working well with the aircraft on the ground and will probably work well in the air once I get my motor finished.
With the ADS-B does it caNcel out the ability to receive the TIS signals on the ground?

One last question, I have an exclamation next to the time on thE upper bar of the Skyview. What is this.

You'll see partial whenever you're not in range of an ADS-B ground station for sure (typical on the ground), and additionally if the ADS-B ground station isn't reporting that is has a "full" traffic picture (when it's not getting radar returns for some reason, basically).

Check out the user's guide for a fuller description of how traffic sources are prioritized, but basically, it goes:
ADS-B Full
TIS (when available, which it often isn't outside of the terminal areas of big airports or when on the ground)
ADS-B Partial

The exclamation point means that your backup battery needs a test, which is true of all people that have upgraded to 6.0. See the latest version of the SkyView installation guide at docs.dynonavionics.com for additional information on how to perform the battery test.
