SV-ADSB-470 communicates with SkyView via a serial connection and shows aircraft in proximity (with target aircraft's location, direction etc.) on SV-Display. I am wondering if is it possible to install a LED light (flashing) as a warning, if another aircraft (with ADBS-out) is within a imaginary sphere of say 5nm or 10nm, surrounding my own aircraft ?
FLARM devices used by gliders have such a system (just google "Flarm mouse and FLARM ACL")

As Airguy says, we do audio alerts, and we put a big yellow "TRAFFIC" on the screen.

We do not have the ability to drive an external indicator.

One note is that our traffic alert is not just on distance. It actually takes the direction and altitude change rate and calculates how close two airplanes will get, and alerts if they will be closer than X within the next 20 seconds. This significantly reduces nuisance alerts. If you're climbing and the other target is descending, you don't get an alert because that really isn't a threat even if you are headed for the same spot.

That X distance changes with some rules, but is generall about 0.2NM. If you put an alert in at 5NM or 10NM, above most cities it would just go off all the time.
