aircraft battery

aircraft main battery goes dead when leaving stay alive wire hooked up to D100 what can i do?

I think Dynon Support will jump in here but they no longer recommend connecting the Keep Alive lead on the D100 and D180. If you search for Keep Alive you will see a good bit of discussion on the matter. As I recall, there was a problem (cannot remember exactly what the problem was and may have been more than battery drain) which may get rectified with a firmware update. Support should be along shortly.

That is correct. Due to a variety of power-related issues (including yours), we now recommend that you do not connect the keep-alive line.

But unless you purchase the Dynon battery, your clock will require setting every time to start the aircraft.

If you have a NMEA GPS connected it will set the time off of that.
