Airmate current nav data issue

All,

Just west of X26 is the Marain MOA. It is not showing in the most recent Airmate Nav update. I loaded the Dynon Nav update and it is in this database. I did not check other MOAs.

Bad juju if one blows thru an active MOA.

I advised Airmate and asked if we are missing any other airspaces in the update? More than bad juju if one blows thru other kinds of restricted airspace.

Airmate has confirmed that MOA was missed. Don’t know how I can QA their nav and obstacle product. I do trust the Dynon nav and obstacle data and will stick with it.

Although errors do occur in the ARINC records that come from the feds, they are extremely rare, so any problems with the data are almost certainly due to 3rd-party vendor's software to convert from ARINC records to whatever database format is used. Missing an *entire* MOA indicates some rather poor QA by the vendor, IMO.
