Airspeed Error

My D10A has always indicated 10-15 knots HIGHER than my ASI and GPS (nil wind). I confess to having not connected the static air of the D10A. It shares the same pitot air as the ASI. I checked that it is set to knots and not mph or kph. Do I have to calibrate the D10A air speed or something? Can the static not being connected be the problem? Is the problem related to the AOA line connection?

The problem could in large part be due to the static line not being hooked up.  Small changes in static pressure cause large differences in ASI reading.  The static pressure inside cabins is often lower than ambient pressure, and this would make the EFIS ASI read high.

I recommend you hook the EFIS static to the same source as the ASI, and see what effect that has.

I was thinking the cabin pressure would be higher than ambient so discoounted the stat :-[ [smiley=embarassed.gif]ic as being the problem. Ofcourse that must be the problem, thanks.
