I have a new Skyview with the EMS-220. All supplied by Dynon (all cables purchased). It is a new plane build. When I first went to start the engine the oil pressure didn't work. Dynon tried to trouble shoot, replaced the oil sensor and it began to work. Then all of the CHT's stopped working (X on the display). I found that if I disconnected the ammeter then everything worked. Dynon sent a rebuilt EMS-220 and everything worked again. Note that they replaced it after I had already sent it to them and they said nothing was wrong with the original unit. Now I'm getting ready to do the test flight and I'm back to no sensors working again. As before it all works with the internal battery. As soon as I turn on the master switch all sensors go to X (GPS and ADAHRS works fine). Dynon never did figure out what was going on before, they just replaced the EMS unit. Anyone else seen this? I'm getting very frustrated with this system.

Although we couldn't reproduce the CHT mis-reading issue the second time your unit was here, the first fix did involve a failure of the amps input. This can happen due to a defect, but can also happen due to mis-wiring of various kinds into the amps input. If you're back to not having readings when the system is fully powered on, I'd suspect that the root cause is more likely in the wiring into the EMS module. Please do give us a call at 425-402-0433 so that we can help you work through what the root cause here is.
