My airplane will have Lightspeed Plasma III electronic ignition. These units output signals which you read for RPM. The units also output manifold pressure. Can I use this to feed the Skyview instead of having to mount and plumb in the GM sensor you supply in the probe kit? The unit outputs .01v/inch MP. The tach is .01v/100 RPM. I believe we already have folks using the tach feature of the units with no difficulty.

The MAP sensor could work if you built a custom sensor file for it, assuming you didn't actually mean .01V/inch HG and instead meant something like .1V/inch HG, which is more measurable. The characterization for our sensor is about .17V/inch HG

SkyView requires a pulse for the RPM input, so a variable voltage won't do the trick here. SkyView does have a low voltage set of inputs so that input pulses as low as 2V can be used to trigger the RPM input (previous products required >10V)

FYI - a technical guide to making your own sensor files can be found at http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/Making_your_own_sensor_definitions.
