Alternator "IN OP" wiring to skyview.

My plane power alt has a wire output that is to be used as a warning light on the panel for ALT IN OP. Can I wire this into the EMS harness and configure for an onscreen warning or light?

Didnt know if that is worthwhile or not since Ammeter shunt is already wired. Sorry..kind of slow :-[

You could use one of the general purpose pins as a contact. Check page 6-38 and 6-46 in the installation guide. There also are a few posts about contacts on the Skyview general discussion.

That may be redundant as you'll get a flashing red (yellow) warning on the amps gauge on the SV if the amps goes to zero or into the yellow area. You can also set it to display a warning in the message box over key 8. See the EMS sensor alarms setting in the sensor setup, page 6-42 of the guide.
