Forgive me if this is in the instructions but I can not find it. My altimeter in my D180, v5.5 does not correspond to the actual pressure. When I set the baro setting to the reported value and crosschecked with other planes as correct, my EFIS altimeter does not read field elevation but is always about 300-400 feet off. I can't remember the direction, up or down.
IS there a calibration routine to go thru such as with the AOA or compass?

Not a calibration per se, but you can apply an offset.

EFIS SETUP > ALTADJ - allows you to apply +/- 500 feet (assuming your UNITS is set to ALT: FEET) offset.

thanks, it works, but does that mean for the future the offset (or correction) will remain and always allow the EFIS altimeter to read correct actual altitude after BARO is set? Or is this something I have to do every flight?

The correction stays in the unit and should compensate for all future flights.

Do be careful what you are adjusting to - some airports have hundreds of feet of altitude change over the airport, so the "airport elevation" may not be where you are.
