Altitude select not working - HS34 and AP menu

Probably not just me, however I find that when I am in the AP menu (e.g. select ALT ON) I cannot select the Altitude on the HS34. I can select the Heading bug at any time, but the Altitude bug does not respond to the Value button changes when in that menu.

This is very annoying, creating additional work load and delay, since I need to exit the AP menu (twice), and then select the target altitude with the HS34 knob.

Anyone experience this? Why does it function that way, preventing Altitude to be changed with the Value knob of the HS34? Thanks.

Sorry we missed this. Yes, there's a quirk in the software there that doesn't allow the non-heading values to be adjusted while the menus are up. One thing you can do to minimize the button pushing here is to tap the value knob to clear out the other menus. You can also change SETUP > HSI > VALUE KNOB > REQUIRE PUSH to NO to eliminate one more click.
