Ammeter drop

Hi All,
During a flight there was a failure on the ammeter.
What would cause the ammeter to drop below -20 amps and set off the alarm and yet the voltmeter to stay around 13.4? Stayed this way for over an hour. Will this damage anything if it stays this way while it is flown to a shop?

Thanks

Sounds like a broken wire between the shunt and the EMS. If one or both of the wires breaks you'll get crazy readings.

This won't cause any damage to the EMS, so you can fly like this until you can get it looked at. Just keep an eye on your battery voltage!
