Ammeter Shunt question

Hello,
I'm installing the EMS-10 and have a general question about the ammeter shunt. There are three choices in the installation manual as to where to connect the shunt. It seems like position "A" would be most useful - showing current flow both in and out of the battery.

What are others doing with this choice? Does Dynon have a preferred installation position?

Thanks in advance,

That is how I wired mine, to show current in and out of the battery. While I would also have liked to see how much current my alternator was producing at any time or the total aircraft load, I felt that monitoring the battery current was more important overall. By doing it that way, I can see when I reach a critical load point where my alternator is no longer able to meet the aircraft system current demands. Also, you can monitor when the battery is fully charged, as that is when the amp meter shows zero current flow. So for me, I wired it for positions "A" and feel it provides the most important indications in that location.
