The AMP Shunt I received with my EMS kit is marked on the box as 0 - 60 Amps and on the side of the Shunt it is marked as 40A/40MV. I will be installing a 60 AMP alternator. Will this one be ok or does the Shunt need to match the ALternator output?

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard

The shunts we ship will work over the specified 0-60 Amp range. 40A/40mV is just the way the manufacturer portrays the sensitivity of the shunt (1 mV across the shunt for each Amp through it). You will be fine installing the 60A alternator with our shunt.
