Another "G" meter complaint

My EFIS-D10 doesn't keep track of minimum/maximum G loading while the G-meter is NOT displayed.  It should, don't you think?  There are times when I don't happen to have the G-meter displayed, and after the fact I want to know how many Gs I pulled -- bring up the G-meter to check it, but it doesn't work (meaning it didn't record max/min while it wasn't displayed).

If possible, I think the G-meter should record max/min regardless of whether it's being displayed.

I too have noticed that the "G" meter does not record unless it is displayed. It really should!

Hi Dan,

Yes, EFIS-D10's do not have the feature you are describing. The EFIS-D10A's do indeed keep track of max/min g's even if the g-meter is not shown, but the D10 does not. It's definitely a feature that should be there. I'm (right now) looking into changing this for the D10. We have very limited codespace on the D10 software, but there's still a chance we'll update this in the near future.

We'll keep you posted here.

Hi Dan and Mel,

I have made the modifications necessary to the EFIS-D10 code allowing the g-meter max/min to update regardless of whether the g-meter is shown. I'm not sure when the next EFIS-D10 software release is; we're waiting on a couple other enhancements. This next version will likely be version 01.13

Just wanted to let you know that the latest version of EFIS-D10 software has been released. Among other things, this update includes keeping track of the g-meter max/min when it is not displayed.

More information and the download file can be found at:
