Now that my D10A gets the time from my 495, is there any reason to leave the KA hooked up?
The clock on the D10A doesn't keep time when off anyway. I don't have internal battery.

Yet Another Keep Alive Question

It would appear that there is agreement that  the keep alive should not be hooked up to the D-120.

I didn't see such agreement for the D-100.
So, the question is, should we hook up the Keep Alive for the D-100 or leave it disconnected as it is not needed? :-/

Thanks,
Dave & Trina

If it gets its time from the GPS ditch the KA altogether, we had this debate a while back and that was the suggestion of DS.

I have deleted it from my drawings for that reason.

Mel - your realization is correct. Now that you have GPS providing time, the KA line isn't really needed for anything. Disconnecting it can only help (since there a couple of issues that affect units here and there that collectively have us recommending that KA not be connected anymore)

I clipped it off and sealed it. (did leave enough to hook it up later should the need arrise...)
Thanks...
