AOA Port on D100/D10A question

I have an RV aircraft with a D100, D10A, AP-74 and Dynon AOA Pitot. Currently installing a low-profile pitot for racing. Question is, if I replace the AOA pitot with this non-AOA pitot, do I need to cap or plug the AOA line at the pitot end (ie, in the wing), or must I cap or plug the ports on the back of the D100 and D10A, for airspeed to work properly? Another way to ask this is, may I just leave the AOA line open in the wing and still connected to the AOA ports on the D100 and D10A, for reinstallation of the AOA pitot later, and still have accurate airspeed indication. The installation manuals for both EFIS's don't indicate whether of not the AOA port must be capped if not using a Dynon AOA pitot. Please advise. Thanks!

I would cap it at the pitot end anyway (don’t like leaving pipes ‘open’ due possible insect etc blockage) & disable the AOA on the screen. That leaves everything in place for future activation.
