AP Panel suggestions

As clearly outlined in the install manual, the AP panel controls do not function if the SkyView is set for Simplified AP mode. I have four years flying a dual SkyView install and I am not a fan of the Expert AP mode, but I understand why the AP Panel set up is like it is. I just wish I dove into the install manual on panel function before buying as I would have just purchased a Safety Trim instead for the new project.

I offer however that the "Level" button should work no matter what mode for AP. I have two recommendations for Dynon:
1. Software update to make the "Level" button functional when in the Simplified AP mode. Consider other software updates to gain some functionality of the panel when in the Simplified AP mode.
2. Update your AP Panel product description to clearly point out that this box has no function beyond trim servo controller if not in the Expert mode.

We've updated the SV-AP-PANEL page to indicate the (2) more clearly. While we don't have any immediate plans for (1), we'll make sure we review this behavior.

Thanks.

I like the design objectives of the panel. I'm hopeful you all will figure out a way to make it more functional when in the Simpified mode.

SV-AP-Panel:
Are buttons backlit?
Can 2 SV-AP-Panels function on a single 10” display, for button control only, I understand just one trim controller is needed.

SV-KNOB-PANEL
Does this panel have any lighting?
Can 2 SV-KNOB-PANEL function on a single 10” display?

The buttons and knobs are indeed backlit on both products. On the knob panel, it's technically the curvy white outline next to the knob that's lit (along with the label), but it effectively guides your hand to the right place, which is what you want.
You can have two SV-AP-PANELs and/or SV-KNOB-PANELs, even with one display.
