AP pitching up in rough air

My AP seems to work just fine in smooth air. But in rough air, once in a while the AP will pitch up and try and climb way beyond the altitude bug. It seems to happen a couple hours into the flight so I was thinking it may be happening if the servo is getting hot from use. A couple of days ago it was happening and I made the servo slip when I countered it so I found it in the data logs. There are a few times that I arrested the pitch up, but only a couple of times where the servo slipped.

I also found the same phenomenon in relatively smooth air. I don't remember but it looks like I corrected enough to make the servo slip.

Has anybody else have this happen and any suggestions to fix it?

This has been solved. The servo started intermittently going off line so I sent it in under an RMA. It was out of warrantee but came back no charge. Component failure was the reason.

In comparison, my friend had the trim servo go on his C182. The cost to him was $4200 plus labour.

I'm thinking I picked the right vendor. Thanks Dynon.  :)
