I see that you really did a good thing in regards to the mounting bracket for the AP74/76.

My question is can this bracket also be used with the HS34?

If not, is it possible you might make one that can be used with the HS34?

I hate the screws that take up valuable room under or beside the HS34...

It is not possible to directly use it with the HS34 since the HS34's second connector gets in the way of the AP76 mounting point.

You could very easily cut up one of the AP brackets to make it work with the HS34, or you could make your own. The design of the AP brackets are actually based on something a few customers ended up making themselves for the HS34. We don't have plans ourselves for changing the HS34 bracket.

Will the new AP74 bracket require any holes in the panel, or is it similar to the bracket we've seen in threads here and on the VAF forum? (The one that attaches via the AP74 mounting screw(s) and sandwiches the AP74 to the panel is the one I've seen.)

Any pix or dimensions available for that mounting bracket? If not, I'll be mounting the AP74 below a D10A and to the right and slightly below a D100. How much clearance will I need to the sides and above the AP74 hole to ensure clearance?

Thanks much!

Cheers,
Bob

The AP74 mounting bracket does not require holes in the panel to mount it, although there is a tab at the bottom of the bracket that allows the installer to secure to the panel if they wish. But yes, it's the same sandwiching mechanism from Bill's design posted to the VAF forum.

We've posted the dimensions here: http://dynonavionics.com/downloads/Install_Guides/AP74%20Mounting%20Tray%20Dimensions.pdf

and panel cutout here: http://dynonavionics.com/downloads/Install_Guides/AP74%20Basic%20Operation%20Guide.pdf

Thanks very much guys! Looks good, and those links help a lot!

Also looks like that tab on the left side (if horizontally mounting) can be trimmed for a close fit to my D100 if needed. Is that correct?

Thanks again, and nice job by Bill!

Cheers,
Bob

Yes, the tab is there only if you feel the need to secure the bracket to the panel. It can definitely be cut off to allow a close fit.
