I'm rewiring my whole system to accomodate the AP 74 in the dash etc etc. I have a Flightdek 180.
I am pretty sure I have seen the answer to my question somewhere but a search has failed to reveal it.

Are all the black wires on both the 37 pin plug and the 25 pin looms connected to a common earth inside the 180 or are any a seperate earth. In other words can I just connect a few together to decrease the number of wires in my new looms (taking into account current carrying capacity of course)

I think from memory they are all at same potential etc but just wanting to be sure.

Just to make me uncertain - The manual names the wire from pin 13 (37 pin harness ) fuel flow ground a bit differently to the other grounds so I wonder if there is some significance in that?

If it's labeled as ground on the wiring diagram, it's shorted internally. No need to connect them all together externally. But do use them if you find it helpful to just grab a new black ground wire rather than splicing into some other connection. Basically, they're there for your convenience!

Hi dynon,

Just to be sure of what you say concerning the ground connection,

I understand that, if the primary ground PIN 3 is connected normaly

to the ground of the plane, we don't need to connect the other ground wires.

If my mind is correct, is that valid for the D100 and the D120.

Francis.

Yes, but, you can opt to use those other wires for sensors that need a connection to ground.
