Are Dynon Servos controlled by PWM signals?

I am looking to install an MGL Voyager EFIS (boohh!) in my RV8 but using Dynon Servos (hurrahh!) for the autopilot (I like the servo arm locking mechanism and your support for RV installations). MGL say "we also support any servo that can handle a standard PWM signal."

Question. Do the Dynon servos handle PWM signals?

I think you would be better off with the Dynon panels and servo's myself, the Dynon servo is controlled by some data protocol over RS485, so its not like others and is very noise immune being that way.

I am sure some bugs will come and go but their design has lots of merit to me, and I am in the industrial automation business so I see what they are doing is very good!

Thanks for the reply David but I am very much intent on the MGL Voyager due to its features. All I need to know is will the DSAB A & B pins on the dynon servo accept PWM data in/out from an autopilot controller without any special decoding?

No the DSAB bus will not accept PWM signals. The Dynon servos are digital stepper motors with a custom embedded processor. PWM servos are a completely different technology.

As mentioned, our servos are unique to our product. The smarts in the servo gives us a lot of advantages over a simple PWM servo. DSAB is a totally digital, bidirectional, communication bus.
