ARINC-429

I have a question about the serial line to from GTN 650 to the Arinc-429. The GTN came with pre-wired P1001 connector. The serial I'm using from 650 has a serial out, in, ground and shield grounded to P1001 connector back shell. I assume I can just cut the RX line into P1001, but what do I do with the ground line? Do I connect it with the shield or run it back to the forest of tabs. The Arinc-429 D25 has a ground wire on Pin 20. Perhaps connect the serial ground along with P20 and run a single wire back to forest of tabs.

Some people have not connected pin 20 & the system still works as advertised - up to you.

Thanks Jake. I left off the ground for the serial circuit coming from the GTN 650. I did run Pin 20 to ground. I should be able to bench test my setup in a week, so I will report back.
