ARINC and GARMIN GNC 255

I'm not sure to understand everything about the ARINC 429, but I just want to know if there is a way to connect (easily) a garmin gnc 255 to the skyview without using the ARINC 429.

I won't use a GPS receiver and I don't plan IFR flights.

Use the serial port and the SL30 protocols. You will get all the NAV info but you won't get the advanced features via SV. I believe Dynon are working on giving us a new protocol via the serial port.

If you want, it should be possible to connect via Arinc and get the GPS data to the 255 but have no idea how to achieve that. Of course, I could be talking out of my.....
