Arriving Waypoint Audio

My Skyview classic does not annunciate when you are approaching a waypoint. Flight plan is being provided by Garmin 430W. Can’t find anything about turning annunciation on or off. Any ideas?

My waypoints are only announced with Skyview doing the driving - never from my G430W when I had it, or the IFD440 that I replaced it with. Try it with a Skyview flight plan.

Actually…. The IFD 440 does annunciate approaching a waypoint in a flight plan. It is visual, not aural. It is in the form of a blue alert message in the lower right portion of the screen. From page 6-16 in the IFD400 Series Pilot Guide:

I don't speak Garmin 430W so cannot say if it does or doesn't.

True enough, but I believe the OP was asking about an aural annunciation. I could be wrong, it's been known to happen.
