I have a Garmin 650 to drive a typical Skyview installation with servos for pitch and roll.  From the beginning I noticed when flying a LPV coupled approach that when Skyview transitions from altitude hold to vnav there seems to be quite a lag before the auto pilot catches up and gets back on the glide slope.  Is this just the best I can hope for or is there adjustments to the autopilot to make this transition smoother.  The autopilot works fine in every other respect.

Excellent question.

So we've received enough reports that we now have this on a bug list. We have a hunch that there might be code adjustment that we'd need to do to fix this, but right now we don't know enough and need to research it more. We don't think there's a way to tune it out using the available adjustments.

Huh, how 'bout that. I had noticed this same issue and just figured that was the way the autopilot was going to fly it, it does catch up after a while but certainly not quickly. I'll be happy to see an improvement in that behavior.
