AUTO TRIM - TRIM MOTOR ADAPTER
The module SKYVIEW TRIM MOTOR ADAPTER (SV-AP-TRIMAMP - P/N 104314-000), combined with onboard SKYVIEW AUTOPILOT, will provide all the intelligent and smart functions, like AUTO TRIM and SPEED SENSITIVE TRIM RESPONSE?

Or this funcitions, will only work if this TRIM MOTOR ADAPTER be combined with AUTO PILOT CONTROL PANEL (SV-AP PANEL P/N 102137-001)?

Do anyone knows about it?

Thanks friends

Yes, the TRIMAMP requires installation of the SV-AP-PANEL. The motor inputs come from there.

You don't absolutely require a TRIMAMP unless your trim motors draw more than two amps of current. However, if you want auto-trim, you will need it.

One TRIMAMP is required for each trim motor, so you need two TRIMAMPS if you have both pitch and roll trim motors.

To be clear, the TRIMAMP is not required for auto-trim unless your trim motors draw more than 2 amps. The SV-AP-PANEL provides that capability.

From the SkyView Installation Guide for the SV-AP-PANEL:

The TRIMAMP does provide additional trim motor monitoring and alerting capability. From the SkyView Installation Guide for the TRIMAMP:

"The SV-AP-TRIMAMP Trim Motor Adapter allows the SkyView Autopilot system to interface with DC-style trim motors that exceed a current draw of 2A. It is often used in type-certificated aircraft installations to allow compatibility with larger legacy trim motors. However, it also independently monitors any trim motors connected to it and generates SkyView-based alerts for abnormal trim behavior. This provides all pilots with addition trim-related safety information that makes the SV-AP-TRIMAMP a product worth considering in any aircraft (see the Pilot’s User Guide for detailed information)."

The TRIMAMP seems to be my nemesis lately. Yes, it's the alerts of abnormal trim conditions, such as runaway trim, inoperative trim or a failed test that the TRIMAMP gives you, not auto-trim.
