I am new to forum so please bear with me.  The Skyview manual says there will be three heading choices-heading/track/nav.  My screen has heading/track.  I thought that I would be able to enter the four letter airport identifier and the autopilot would turn to desired heading.  I don't have a x96 garmin installed-would that give me the "nav" choice?

So you'll only see the "NAV" option when the HSI has valid guidance on it. That can from SkyView's own map (GPS0 is always the SkyView mapping software) or an external device like a handheld (GPS1 and higher for GPSes, and NAV1 and higher for radio sources like the SL30, GTN, and GNS series of panel mounts0).

So once you've programmed in a direct-to or flight plan in the SkyView map, go to PFD > NAVSRC until the GPS0 source is on the HSI. Then the AP menu should give you the NAV source option.
