Autopilot Pitch Problem

I now have 13 hours on my Skyview system. The autopilot has been working great until Sunday. If when in level flight, I enter the altitude for the altitude I wish to fly (and currently am flying at) engage the autopilot and it commands a huge pitch up and heads for the stars. I actually think it would do a loop if I let it. No settings have been changed, has been working fine on 5.1, heading and track modes work fine. If I set an altitude currently lower than I am flying and engage the autopilot, it still commands a climb. All settings appear normal and the servo test works fine. Need some guidance here, where do I look.

Have you checked if your shear screw maybe broke on your pitch servo?

The other possibility is that your AHRS G meter is now broken. Go into the PFD menu on the ground and press G METER. Does it read 1G or something else? The Autopilot always tries to not pull the wings off the plane, so if your G meter is always reading negative G's, it will try and pitch up to load up the plane.

Ahhhh, the g meter makes sense, definately NOT the shear screw.  The other day I turned the system on to find the g meter displayed when on the ground and it wouldn't go off until I reset the negative G pop up numbers to -.5.  Didn't pay any attention to what it was displaying, now I will have to look.  I assume that would mean the AHRS needs to go back to you if it's reading something less than 1G?

Yeah, you will need to have us get that AHRS for repair if it isn't reading really close to 1G on the ground (it could be less if you are a taildragger, so check in a level attitude or in flight if needed)

If the G-meter isn't reading 1g when in a level attitude (and the ADAHRS is aligned with that axis as it should be), then that most likely implies a problem with the ADAHRS, and we should possibly see it.

So I am guessing this isn't a good sign.  ::)
Don't have enough altitude for 0G.
