I have the AP installed in a PA11 replica. I have not tried to use it in flight yet but have gone through the complete checkout and calibration. Both of my servos are capstan drive. the roll servo seemed to work as advertised, I could override the servo with ease at 60%. The Pitch servo was quite another thing. I had to drop the torque to 20% for it to feel the same as the roll servo. At 60 to 80 % it seemed way to hard to override. It also seemed to override in large jerks or snapping sounds, not anything like the roll.
Other than that, everything else seems normal.

It could be that depending on the linkage design, they may have very different mechanical advantages, and that would lead to a difference in perception. In other words, if you move the stick, say, two inches diagonally, does the roll servo's capstan rotate lot more?
