I see mention of a straight and level button, on screen or external. Where would the button connect in? the autopilot servos or the skyview itself?

The switch connects to Contact 1 on the screens, it does not hook to the servos. If you want redundancy against a screen failure, you can hook all your contact 1's together, or you can just hook to one screen and the feature will work as long as that screen is operating.

Would it be possible to have a panel button for the 180 turn? How about one on the joystick to toggle between screens?

Should the straight and level button be a momentary contact switch or push-on, push-off type?

Momentary.

Also, the level function is available right in SkyView's AP menus, so you don't have to install a button to use this function.

I have two screens in the front of an RV-8 and one screen in the back. Can I hook the contact 1 from a front screen via a momentary swithch to ground and then have the contact 1 from the back screen via a separate switch. As opposed to the 'hook all your contact 1's together' via a single switch? Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards

Yes, as long as any one screen gets the input from contact 1 it will work, so you can hook each screen to a separate switch.

Thanks Dynon for the prompt response. I will hook the level function with a seperate switch from screen 1 (front seat) and screen 3 (rear seat).
Regards
