Autopilot turns on by itself

I'm running dual 10" Skyview displays with 6.0 software. 1 out of 2 times, just after the Skyview starts up but before engine start, the autopilot turns on. Hitting the remote disconnect button turns it off and I have never had it do this other than just after the system comes up.
I don't have a cause and effect, but twice today it turned on right when I shut the cabin door (I have a switch wired into the EMS to sense when the door is open or shut). This may just be coincidence.
Any ideas?
Carl

Keep an eye on the AP status area on the top bar right before the engagement happens. Does it say release to engage? If so, your disconnect switch is getting grounded out for a few seconds during that time period, somehow.

I did a series of tests tonight. Each time the engine is off, the cabin door is open, and I let both displays come fully up. The AP Status area is blank. As soon as I close the cabin door, the AP engages and the bar reads "wings level". I repeated this 3 times, each time the exact same result. Hitting the remote button disengages the AP. The AP has never turned on by itself in flight, and it works as advertised in flight. I am still operating in the "Simplified" mode.
This did not happen until I upgraded to 6.0.
Ideas?

Yeah, we know exactly what that is. You wired a door switch to GP input 1 on the screen. With 6.0, GP input 1 is "straight and level," an emergency mode of the AP that will level the plane from any attitude. Before 6.0 GP 1 was reserved for future use so nothing should have been connected here.

Note this is not the EMS, this is the SkyView screen itself, so it sounds like your door switch might be wired in parallel somehow. If you have more than one screen, any one screen can trigger this mode.

Yep - you called it. I had the door switch in parallel with the GP input #1 and the EMS. Fixed.
Thanks for the help,
Carl
